Is the infrared level sensor corrosion resistant?

- Mar 08, 2020-

Infrared liquid level detector is a common sensor on the market, which has the characteristics of small size, high accuracy and high reliability. The Infrared liquid level detector uses the principle of optical reflection to detect the level of the liquid level based on the reflected light received by the internal receiving tube.

When the sensor head is in a waterless state, the light is directly reflected to the receiver. When the sensor's head is covered with liquid, light is refracted in the liquid, just little or no light reflecting back to the receiver inside the sensor.

Infrared liquid level detectors can be divided into two types according to the structure, one is separated and the other is integrated. The integrated Infrared liquid level detector is composed of a housing with a light cone and internal components; the separated photoelectric level sensor is a light cone separated from other components, and the light cone is usually designed on the water tank.

The integrated infrared liquid level detector and the separated infrared liquid level detector have the advantages of corrosion resistance. The integrated liquid level sensor needs to use anti-corrosive materials when making the shell. For example, the ppsu material can be used, and the anti-corrosive effect can be achieved. The separate photoelectric liquid level sensor is not in contact with liquid and belongs to non-contact detection, so the corrosive liquid will not affect the operation of the sensor.

At the same time, the infrared liquid level detector is also resistant to high temperature and high pressure. Its optical principle uses resin sealing treatment for all internal components.
